This course will entail the ins and outs of cascading style sheets. We can gather in person and/or online and read chapters from Christoper Schmitt's CSS Cookbook. Practical exercises that employ material from cookbook would be very good.

Imagine a filmmaker retrospective experienced collectively and intensively in a group setting. I propose closing looking at a period of the career of Jean-Luc Godard, perhaps of his work from the 70's that has been most neglected, his enigmatic recent works, or the earlier more popular works if preferred. Most of his work has become available on DVD or the internet in recent years. Godard's oeuvre is arguably the richest in cinema with its play of stylistic innovation, intertextuality, cinematic expressiveness, and political interrogation. Screenings could be supplemented by critical texts, perhaps following Richard Brody's recent working biography as a guide. His feature films as well as shorts, television programs, video commissions, collaborations, and even commercials are all open for consideration.
